Dolores ORiordan, the lead singer of the Irish rock band the Cranberries, died by drowning due to alcohol intoxication, an inquest at Westminster Coroner's Court has heard. ORiordan, who was 46, was found dead in her London hotel room on 15 January

The coroner, Shirley Radcliffe, said that ORiordan had consumed a "large amount" of alcohol before her death. She also had a history of mental health problems and had been taking medication for bipolar disorder.
