Disney Reveals First Trailer for Upcoming Star Wars Series

The Acolyte promises to explore a new era of the Star Wars universe and introduce a cast of intriguing characters.

Disney has unveiled the first trailer for its highly anticipated Star Wars series, "The Acolyte." Set in the High Republic era, the show follows the story of a former Padawan and her Jedi Master as they investigate a series of crimes. The trailer offers glimpses of stunning visuals, intriguing characters, and a mysterious plotline that is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

"The Acolyte" will premiere on Disney+ on June 4th and stars Amandla Stenberg as the title character, Lee Jung-jae as her Jedi Master, and Manny Jacinto and Charlie Barnett in supporting roles. The series is executive produced by Leslye Headland, who also created and wrote the show.

In a press release, Headland said that she was inspired to create "The Acolyte" after reading about the High Republic era in the Star Wars canon. "It was a time of great hope and optimism, but also a time of darkness and danger," she said. "I was fascinated by the idea of exploring what happened during this era, and how it shaped the future of the galaxy."
