Clark Excited to Join Fever, Boost Ticket Sales
Caitlin Clark, the star guard from the University of Iowa, was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever. The highly anticipated pick comes as no surprise, as Clark has been a dominant force in college basketball, averaging 27.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game during her four-year career.
Despite being the top pick, Clark admitted to feeling nervous before the selection. "I had no idea what to expect," she said. "But I'm so excited to be a part of the Fever and the WNBA."
The Fever are hoping that Clark's addition will help boost their performance in the upcoming season. The team finished 10th out of 12 teams last year with a record of 13-27 and has not had a winning season since 2015.
